Newport, known as a playground for the well-heeled, is busting at its shorelines with magnificent mansions. But even among that set, Seaward stands out. Yet for all the effort that went into it, the home has struggled to find a buyer. It’s been on and off the market since 2013, when it was originally listed for $45 million. Its $37 million price tag would still soundly break a record for Rhode Island—the most expensive home sold in the state went for $18 million—but it may take a few more price cuts before it gets there.
